Over two and not sleeping through

How many times have I heard this?
I can say I'm not there yet…but I've been looking for information on help for children not sleeping…so far it seems only to be Elizabeth Pantley and Naomi Aldort (and then Naomi's is not something you can really follow like Elizabeth's).

I've been reading forums and listening to other parents around. Many parents who parent their children to sleep start feeling really frustrated by the age of two and in some cases start giving up and letting their children cry it out…I don't know how this would work with a kid that could climb out of a cot and in some cases open doors or at least just be a general pain in the bum.

As I've said we've not got to that point yet and maybe we will not but I do feel for people out there even parents who do not "parent baby to sleep" are still having to get up for their 3 and 4 year olds and dragging them back to bed.

I've heard of parents giving in and children falling asleep on the couch (I know that Ara would not do this as she's like me and sound just gets you up)..but maybe this is not giving in.
Putting the fear of god in your child is probably not the best idea either…but I myself sometimes am really tired and will grump at Ara…"Go to sleep".

We find that I've we do not keep to Ara's routine then all hell breaks loose for a few days and we feel like it’s the end of the world but then it all seems to come right.

So are there other suggestions out there on how to get your children to sleep that you might like to share with us all….and also getting two+ children to sleep as well.
